EU Mobility: Otto Von Guericke University Magdeburg (Magdeburg, Germany) 17 – 28 February 2020

From February 17 to 28, 2020, as a part of the project TALENT for the preparation and implementation of master’s programs in the field of “Human Resource Management and Talent Development”, a working group on Organizational Aspects, consisting of coordinators of the Otto Von Guericke University Magdeburg (Germany), as well as 5 representatives of universities from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were in the aforementioned University of Germany. The Kyrgyz Economic University was represented by Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Economics, Management and Marketing Cholpon Alkadyrova.
To date, curricula, syllabuses for the program have already been prepared, organizational preparations have been carried out for the beginning of the active stage of the project – for the recruitment of undergraduates in the current academic year.
The main purpose of the mobility was the selection of training materials, the study of educational literature and case studies on specific companies. So, excursions to the large Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg (automobile production) and to the medium-sized Zone enterprise in Arneburg (production of high-tech medical equipment and measuring instruments) showed general and specific problems associated with the selection and retention of personnel. The meeting with the representative of the city administration of Stendhal – the head of the administration and deputy Denis Gruber, who spoke about the specifics of the work of municipal employees aroused great interest among all those present.
Talent management training was conducted by Angela Matthies, head of HR department at Otto Von Guericke University Magdeburg and change management training was conducted by a former Volkswagen HR manager at Georg Volk.
We are very grateful for the rich and interesting program of visits to the project coordinators and professors Eckhard Dittrich and Heiko Schrader, as well as Faaria Khan!
